SPRING 2005:

Photograph by Christy Romanick Hi friends,

Tracking is underway for our 6th full length. So far, three of the four songs are almost done and we expect to finish the last one up this weekend. Over the course of two blisteringly hot recording sessions (seriously, it was easily over 100 degrees up here... this is an attic after all), we managed to capture some great performances and mega deep vibe triangle pizza explosions (the spirit of Forkner was truly upon us). The songs are epic. Three tracks over 10 minutes, one nearing 20 minutes. Nearly drumless (except for one track), this album will be a violent shift into murkier waters. Repeating patterns floating in and out of psychedelic fog. We have devoted ourselves to making something that will be strictly for the trippers.

"Wait, what about Gravitational?" you might ask. For those of you who don't read this website religiously (I'm sure there are a FEW that don't), "Gravitational" was intended to be our 6th album and was to come out on Strange Attractors Audio House this fall. During semi lucid talks at our ultra heated headquarters, we've decided to focus on the band as it is now and move ahead with newer material instead of waiting another few years to get the new stuff out. For those curious to hear "Gravitational", fear not! The Music Fellowship will be releasing the album in the form of two eps in the next few months or so. The two eps (titled "Gravitational IV" and "Gravitational V") will include everything on what was to be our next album. We feel like they work better as two seperate eps and are excited to flood the market with Landing once again!!

We would LOVE to play some shows in the northeast! We're playing with Growing on July 17th in New Haven at Bar, and would love to play some more shows in the area. A tour does not look likely for the near future, but we are ALWAYS up for playing a show. Just let me know!!

One last thing...States Rights Records is releasing the "secret" White Rainbow record (titled Zome) that Dick, Daron and myself recorded with Adam Forkner in the fall of 2003 here at Hi Mid. We're all really proud of the way this turned out! The session was a blast, and things went SO smoothly!! It literally took us one night to record the entire thing. Visit http://www.yarnlazer.com/whiterainbow/ for more info on White Rainbow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love,

Aaron
